Angèle Kouakou’s Cocoa
For over 25 years, Mrs. Angèle Kouakou has lived in tune with cocoa in Côte d’Ivoire. She started this plantation alongside her husband. But after his passing, she had to carry on alone, with her children to care for. A difficult period followed: the cocoa trees that had been planted years earlier had become unproductive. Determined not to give up, she started all over again. She replanted new trees, and today, her plantation is finally thriving once more.
